Unlike a lot of women I am not in love with romantic movies (in my teenage years was another story however!)
I usually cringe instead of coo when I see a trailer for a romantic movie because most love stories in movies today are unoriginal or ultra corny.
I'm not even sure if romantic movies really exists presently.
Romantic comedies and borderline romantic movies are running amuck but good old-fashioned romantic movies are lacking today in film.
The last really good love story I saw in a movie was a few months ago in the film White Palace (starring James Spader and Susan Sarandon)--- and that was made in 1990!
I am a sucker for a good love story.
I find the best love stories are where opposites attract--- whether by personality, class, race and even age.
