What's Playing? 11/5 Weekend

***

This weekend in movie theatres, so many great looking films open.
I want to see everything (sans the CGI Megamind)!
My top pick is the beautiful looking drama, For Colored Girls produced and directed by Tyler Perry and starring some of the best African American female actresses in Hollywood.
Two based-on-true events, the thriller Fair Game, starring Naomi Watts and action drama 127 Hours are my other top picks.
The comedy Due Date, starring Robert Downey Jr. looks hilarious and the documentary Client 9, about Eliot Spitzer looks intriguing.
The animated kid friendly flick Megamind is my last pick to go see.

Here is the run down of movies opening in theatres starting Friday are:

For Colored Girls

What's It About?
Eight African American women deal with conflict in their lives.

Why See It?
-If you're female, especially, African American.
-Check out the cast!: Janet Jackson, Whoopi Goldberg, Phylicia Rashad, Kerry Washington, Thandie Newton to name a few.
-You love the play: For Colored Girls Who Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf.

Why Skip It?
As lovely as it looks, it also looks heartbreaking.

Fair Game
What's It About?
The true story of undercover CIA agent Valerie Plame, whose identity was revealed to the public by the White House.

Why See It?
The story seems unexciting but presented in film, it seems exciting.

Why Skip It?
You'd rather rent Salt, starring Angelina Jolie.

127 Hours
What's It About?
The true story of Aron Ralston, a mountain climber who was trapped in between two boulders for almost five days who amputated his own arm to free himself.

Why See It?
For the incredible story.

Why Skip It?
You may faint from the amputation scene.
The amputation scene supposedly has caused some people to faint in theatres.

Why Skip It?
The trailer somehow didn't cause you to laugh.
